However, they had to pull the campaign in 1997 while facing an impending lawsuit that accused the company of using Old Joe to target children \u2013 evidenced by a $470 million increase in cigarette sales to teenagers since the campaign started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moral of the story: If you\u2019re a company selling cigarettes \u2013 don\u2019t try to promote to kids.
